On August 15, we held a groundbreaking celebration for our new building!
We are pleased to announce that Pierre Menard, Engineering Manager, has been promoted to Director of Engineering. Pierre has oversight within Engineering from the time sales hands off an order through the release to production. His scope also includes areas such as: Product Development, Design Standards, Engineering Operations, Production Engineering and the associated processes for each area.
The largest unit manufactured by CDI today – about the size of a trailer – removes 2,000 pounds or 1 ton of moisture from the air per hour; its smallest unit – about the size of a desk, removes about 10 pounds of moisture per hour.
We’re partnering with Two Rivers Habitat for Humanity and Daikin Applied on a project in Owatonna, MN. It’s touching to see what this means to the soon-to-be homeowners and we can’t wait to start building next spring!
We are pleased to announce that Kim Johnson, Personnel Director, has joined our team. As our new Personnel Director, her expertise in employee engagement, people leadership and operational management as well as training and development will support CDI’s future growth.
The CDC, OSHA, and ASHRAE have issued interim guidance for meat and poultry processors, businesses and employers responding to COVID-19. The CDC recommends that “facilities should consider consulting with a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning engineer to ensure adequate ventilation in work areas to help minimize workers’ potential exposures.”
