CDI promotes Reuben Flesner to Design Engineering Manager

Climate by Design International (CDI) is pleased to announce that Reuben Flesner has been recently promoted to Design Engineering Manager. In his new role, he will be leading all elements of Design Engineering at CDI which will include Design Standards, Design Engineering Methods, and new Product Development.

"Reuben’s aptitude and contributions have propelled him into a leadership role where he will have the opportunityto direct CDI’s design standardization.  His innovative approach will continue to enhance our strategic direction and long term growth at CDI.  We look forward to his continued contributions to our success in these areas,” said Mike Peterson, VP of Operations.

Flesner joined CDI in October 2011 as an Applications Engineer where he gained experience in the sales area. His work included numerous HVAC applications including Hospital Surgical Suites and Archival Storage.  He was promoted to Senior Design Engineer in February 2017. As a Senior Design Engineer for almost two years, he has led several new product and design changes. He brings over 9 years of experience in the HVAC industry. 

Flesner commented, “CDI’s engineering team members are internally driven to improve processes and design. This ambition will allow fundamental change in how we serve our customers with robust, efficient designs; and also build a foundation for continued growth.  I am excited to be an integral part of this team.”  

Flesner holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota State University and a MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University. He was the recipient of a 3M Engineering Scholarship for Excellence of Graduate Research in Design and Manufacturing.
